He was predeceased by: his parents, James Rush and Collette Rush. He is survived by: his daughter Alyssa Rush; his wife Lillian Beanland-Rush; his daughter Shelby; his sister Brenda Lee; his brother-in-law Joe Lee; his nephew Jay Lee; his niece Muffet Lee; his son-in-law Gian Carlos Hurtado; and his grandchildren, Alonso Hurtado and Mila Hurtado.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Grace Church (501 NE 48th St, Pompano Beach, FL 33064). Viewing will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the ?? Kraeer Funeral Home (200 W Copans Rd, Pompano Beach, FL 33064). A burial will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 at the Kraeer Funeral Home & Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens (200 W Copans Rd, Pompano Beach, FL 33064).
A memorial service will be held in his honor, and the family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Campaign For Ole Miss: Journalism and New Media in Rex's memory.
