He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roy R. Bodemer and Hilda Neuhaus Bodemer; his wife Sue Brabson Bodemer; his daughters, Tracy Martin (James Keller) of Florida and Keri O'Connell (Patrick) of Ohio; his grandchildren, Olivia Fitzgerald (Kyle), Mallory Truesdell (Cody), Kyle O'Connell (Emily) and Dan O'Connell; and his sister Carol Bodemer Guenther (Robert). He was also cherished by three great grandchildren.
