She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufino Velez and Josefa Ruiz; and her daughter Gloria Arroyo. She is survived by: her husband Juan Arroyo Mendez; and her grandchildren, Wanda, Eunice (Frank Kirchgessner), Maritza, Sandra, Raquel (William Saunders), Juan Jr. (Vicky), Brenda (Nelson Tirado) and Diana (Johnny Rivera). She is also survived by 7 daughters, one son 14 grandchildren.
She was a member of a charismatic group that led to the foundation of San Juan Bautista Catholic Church in Lancaster.
