He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Luis Rivera Carbonell; his wife Myrna; his children, David Rivera (Eileen) and Vivian Lopez (Alfredo); his grandchildren, Daniel Rivera (Lauren), Jacqueline Kaschel (Shane) and Thomas Rivera (Janine); his great grandchildren, Tyler, Avery, Emma Kaschel and Theodore Rivera; and his siblings, Luis H Rivera and Maria "Lolita" Bradham.
