He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Smith and Faye Smith (Tessler); and his parent-in-law Lou. He is survived by: his spouse Jewel Smith (Bassior); his children, Heather Martin (Chris Prince), Wendy Smith (Michael Posner), Zadie, Ryan, Asher Martin, Yael, Jonah and Ari Smith Posner; his siblings, Ernie (Perry) and Marv; and his mother-in-law Mollie Bassior (Spier). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
