She is survived by: her children, Rebecca Gallanter (Steven) and John Mendelssohn; her brother Stephen Brett (Robin); her grandchildren, Carly and Benjamin Gallanter; and her nieces and nephews, Michael, Rebekah, Troy, Scott Brett and Sara Brett. She is also survived by cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee or Sunrise Day Camp in Oceanside, New York, both of which benefit children with cancer and their families.
