He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Medhurst and Mabel Medhurst. He is survived by: his wife Joan; his sons, Nicholas and Nigel; his grandchildren, Ella and Barrett; his stepchildren, Peter and Maya; and his sister Jennifer.
