He was predeceased by: his parents, John Albert and Margarite Hogan Richardson; his son Jeffrey Richardson; his son-in-law Michael Welch; his stepchildren, Terry Davis and Mary Jo Fields; and his siblings, Jean Savage, Donald, William and Derald Richardson.

He is survived by: his wife Abby Richardson; his children, R. Leo, Kevin (Carrie), Timothy Richardson (Dawn), Kathleen Welch and Jean LoPizzo (John); and his stepchildren, Bill Davis (Kathy), Paul Davis (Sheryl), Helene Davis Nunez (Randy), Teddy Davis (Janice) and Paula Davis Meyers (Brent). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren as well as 21 step grandchildren and 47 step great grandchildren.
