He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernesto Ruiz and Dorotea Ruiz; his wife Pureza Ruiz; and his brothers, Pedro Ruiz, Ramon Ruiz, Armando Ruiz and Narciso Ruiz.
He is survived by: his siblings, Sandra Ruiz (Jose Molina), Sergio Ruiz (Maria), Blanca Ruiz and Alma Rodriguez (Martin); his grandchildren, Dorothy Ruiz, Marta Ruiz, Estela Ruiz, Elida Ruiz, Ernesto Ruiz, Abel Ruiz and Jose Luis Ruiz; and his great grandchildren, Crystal Molina, Fernando Ruiz, Evelyn Ruiz, Christopher Ruiz, Jesus Ruiz, Ernesto Ruiz, Erica Ochoa and Oscar Ruiz.
