As Hortencia departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Hortencia may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Hortencia leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Pedro Torres and Guadalupe; and her son Efren Barrera. She is survived by: her husband Santos Barrera; and her children, Santos Barrera Jr., Cesar Barrera (Sylvia), Claudia Barrera and Noe Barrera (Anna). She is also survived by eleven brothers and sisters, nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the St. Clement Catholic Church (1104 N Alexander St, Plant City, FL 33563). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
