He is survived by: his children, Alejandra Aguinaga (Jose), Caroline Aguinaga, Ruben Aguinaga (Lizbeth) and Guillermo Aguinaga Jr. (Christina); and his siblings, Humberto Aguinaga, Francisco Aguinaga, Enrique Aguinaga, Leticia Montes and Lourdes Serrato. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.
