He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Joseph and Lillian Rasey McIlroy; and his wife Shirley Gough McIlroy. He is survived by: his children, Colleen McIlroy, Michael McIlroy (Tracy), Karen Deisenroth (Donald), Cheryl McIlroy, Maureen Knecht (Darwin), Patrick McIlroy (Rena) and Margaret McDermott; and his sister Doris Kotsis. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
