She was predeceased by: her parents, James West and Ola B. Pyle West; her siblings, RoyGene, Jimmy, Roscoe, Dorothy, Betty, Irene and Pauline (Joel); and her children, Rhoda, Joel Jr., Phil and Robert.

She is survived by: her husband Joel Walden; her daughter Norma Wilson (Lamar); her sisters, Maxine Weaver and Barbara McClellan; and her grandchildren, Mitchell Rogers (Alicia), Kora Varney, Robert Lee, Carmen Pippin (Justin), Heather Wilson, Blane Layton (Brooke), Marissa Warren, Amanda Sapp, Coy Walden (Leann), Coby Walden, Kelsey Walden, Jamie Walden, Brittany Molina (William) and Ben Walden. She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, and many other extended family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mt. Zion Assembly of God (3005 Thonotosassa Rd, Plant City, FL 33565). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
