She was predeceased by: her parents, Marcus Charles and Gladys Harris (Burden); her former husband Louis P. Fernandez; her sons, P. J. Fernandez, B. J. Fernandez and L. J. Fernandez; and her siblings, Shirley Bethel, Barbara Hines and Charles Harris.
