He was predeceased by: his wife Leila; his son Maher Kassis; his parents, Jamil Zarifa and Teta Zarifa; and his siblings, Fahed, Fayek, Yousef Kassis, Hanna Khoury and Johara David.
He is survived by: his brother Basim Kassis (Arizona); his nieces and nephews, Joann Kassis, Jamil Kassis and Susanne Kassis; his grandchildren, David, Ricky, Jasmine, Nicholas, Isabel, Branden, Lucas and Nasir (Kevin); and his great grandchild Theodore.
