He was predeceased by: his siblings, William, Charles, George Elways, Laura Hunt, Evelyn Beck and Mary Briggs.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Hoffman; his children, James Elways (Colleen), Denise Walker (Andrew) and Danielle "Chrissy" Di Pietro (Rocco); his grandchildren, Jennifer Roy, Jessica Elways, Clint Walker, Cailyn Caselli and Colby Proctor; his great grandchildren, Tyler, Penelope, Emma, Lauren and Elliott; and his sister Pearl Gintling of Baltimore, MD. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
