She was predeceased by: her parents, Isabel Jayne Thomas and James Patrick Hernan (Fred Werner Schmitt); her brothers, James Hernan and Scott Carter; and her grandson Christopher Loehr.
She is survived by: her daughters, Colleen Loehr (Greg), Heather McGahee, Valerie Dudley and Cynthia McGahee; and her stepson Robert Schmitt (Josephine). She is also survived by three half sisters and three half brothers; three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
