He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio and Maria of Jesus; his son Carlos; and his siblings, Jaime, Manuel (Estrela), Jose and Trindade Barbosa.
He is survived by: his wife Ilda; his children, Theresa Ponte (Jose), Goretti Realejo (Frank), Isabel Medeiros (Bob), Antonino (Adelia), Jose, Eduardo (Heather) and Joao; and his brothers, Ernesto (Conceicao), Joao (Conceicao) and Fifteen. He is also survived by Fifteen Grandchildren & 18 Great-Grandchildren.
