He was predeceased by: his mother Stella Evans. He is survived by: his wife Christine Evans of Pierson, Florida; his children, Richard O. Evans, Jr. of Sanford, Florida and Kimberly Evans of Winter Park, Florida; his sister Susan Evans (Robyn Blaine) of Pierson, Florida; and his grandchildren, Brian Evans and Brandi Evans. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
