He was predeceased by: his parents, A. C. Carter and Rosa Lee Baxter of Perry; his siblings, Robert Lee Carter, Betty Jean Carter and Ruthy Ann Carter; and his daughter Wendy Delaine Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Lily Carter of Perry, FL; his siblings, Mary Rudrford, John Carter, Elouise Carter, James Carter, Billy Carter (Rita), Marie Hays, Daniel Carter, William Carter (Mary) and Wayne Carter (Kelly); and his children, Johnny Carter Jr. of Perry, FL, Cliff Coker of Marrianna, FL, Vonda Owens (John) of Thomasville, GA, Ginger Livingston (Gary) of Perry, FL and Belinda Coker of Perry, FL. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Pisgah Cemetery. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Joe P. Burns Funeral Home (1400 N Johnson Stripling Rd, Perry, FL 32347).
