He is survived by: his wife Eva Marie Heraver; his children, Margaret Mary (Cynthia Hizer) of Covington, Georgia, Rosemary Ann (Steven Kammerer) of Sharpsburg, Georgia, John Joseph (Susan Horsefield) of Pass Christian, Mississippi, Patricia Marie (Stephen Phillippi) of Folsom, Louisiana, Thomas Anthony (Phaedra Moran) of Midlothian, Virginia, Maryann Ellen (Christopher Eagle) of Pensacola, Florida and Christine Marie (William Rosa) of Madison, Alabama.; his son-in-law Christopher Eagle; his stepfather Thomas Cook; his brother Allen Putnam; his grandsons, Jeremy Putnam and Andrew Jubera; his brother James Cook of Missoula, Montana; his grandchildren, Christian Kammerer, McKenna Kammerer, Aaron Putnam (Megan Beyer), Gabrielle Putnam (Joshua Lang), John Putnam (Sarah Jane Alvarado), Luke Putnam, Sara Putnam, Jonah Phillippi, Joshua Phillippi, Clare Phillippi, Gianna Phillippi, Tana Putnam (Zachary Yacone), Wyatt Putnam, Lillian Putnam, Maryann Putnam, Michelle Eagle (David Scarritt), Zachary Eagle (Daphne McClure), Amelia Eagle, William Rosa (Sarana Lawson), Samuel Rosa, Dominic Rosa, Eva-Marie Rosa and Isaac Rosa; and his great grandchildren, Micah Jubera, William Putnam, Matthew Putnam, Jackson Lang, Scott Lang, Colter Putnam, Calvin Yacone, Wesley Yacone, Cecilia Scarritt, Benjamin Scarritt, Baby Eagle, Myles Rosa and Charlotte Rosa.

Visitation was held on Monday, September 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Little Flower Catholic Church (6495 Lillian Hwy, Pensacola, FL 32506). A rosary was held on Monday, September 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, September 16th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Monday, September 16th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Barrancas National Cemetery (1 Cemetery Rd, Pensacola, FL 32508). A burial was held on Monday, September 16th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
