He was predeceased by: his parents, John R. Derr, Sr. and Berenice Yaeger Derr; and his brother Gary Derr. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Weakley Derr; his daughters, Lauren Derr Scapecchi and Leigh Anne Mason; his son-in-law Richard David Scapecchi; his grandchildren, Celeste Marie, Leila Katherine, Dominic Paul and Gemma Elizabeth Scapecchi; and his siblings, Frederick, John Jr., Wayne Derr, Jane Lacy and Lucy Patton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
