He was predeceased by: his father Robert Lambrecht; and his son Michael Patterson. He is survived by: his mother Rebecca Kay Jones; his wife Kathy Patterson (Myers); his children, Bryce Patterson (Jordan) and Lindsay Patterson; his stepson Jace Smith; his grandson Michael Patterson; and his siblings, Robert Patterson and Miranda Staples (Chris). He is also survived by family members and friends.
