He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Church; his children, Kristin and Tim (Sarah) of San Diego, California; his wife Marian O'Shea of St. Louis, Missouri.; his son-in-law Maximiliano Benitez of Austin, Texas; his son John Michael of Silver Spring, Maryland; his brothers, Fred (Suzanne Wernicke), Carl (Patti Wernicke), Paul Wernicke (Victoria Kilgen) and David Wernicke; his aunt Olga Covington; his cousins, John Covington, Rogette Wernicke and Dale Edelbeck; and his pets, Apollo, Flinn and Melo.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pensacola Humane Society or to the Central Texas Food Bank.
