He was predeceased by: his father Aaron Runels; his granddaughter Caroline; his parent Runnel; and his brothers, Donnie and Larry.
He is survived by: his wife Vija Runels; his sons, Michael Jr. and Christopher Sr.; his grandchildren, McKayla, Kyler, Michael II, Avery and Christopher Jr.; his great grandchildren, Ragnar, Bobbi-Jo and Malachi; his siblings, Nancy, Elizabeth and Randy; his sisters-in-law, Marie and Pat; his daughter-in-law Angie; and his grandson-in-law Lucas.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Point Church (13801 Innerarity Point Rd, Pensacola, FL 32507).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Florida Baptist Children's Home.
