He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Merritt and Julie Merritt; his brothers, Doug Merritt, Jake Merritt and Toby Merritt; and his grandson Bain Roberson.
He is survived by: his wife Cathy Merritt; his daughters, Stephanie Weeden (Daniel), Nola Williams (Michael) and Ashley Roberson (Matt); and his grandchildren, Michael Weeden, Braxton Roberson, Shelby Evangelista (Adrian), Claire Roberson, Lucy Williams and Abby WIlliams. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and favorite sister-in-law.
A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Pensacola Memorial Gardens (7433 Pine Forest Rd, Pensacola, FL 32526).
