She was predeceased by: her parents, McAvee Lane Parker and Wayne Ross; her grandparents, Cecila Lane and Travis Lane; her siblings, Shirley Walker and George "Eddie" Parker; her half-brothers, Gary Wand and Larry Ward; and her daughters, Diane Michelle "Shelly" Nelson and Peggy Lynn Dykes.
She is survived by: her sons, Tex "Bubba" Nelson, Jr. (Mary) and Darrel Nelson (Jasmine); her adoptive children, David Holmes, Jason Hess and Cyndi Rush (Joey); her siblings, Yvonne Townsend, Billy Parker (Debbie) and Johnny Parker (Bonnie); her grandchildren, Timothy "Shane" Dykes (Kelly), Thomas Lee Dykes, Tex Nelson, III (Jana), Sarah Nelson (Cavan), Kaylee Windrow (Devin) and Logan Windrow; and her great grandchildren, Tristan Shane Dykes, Tansley Jean Blocker, Tucker Ray Dykes and Bowen Turner Nelson. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Trahan Family Funeral Home (60 Industrial Blvd, Pensacola, FL 32503). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Crain Cemetery.
