We are sad to announce that on March 12, 2025 we had to say goodbye to John Ashmore Hammond Jr. of Pensacola, Florida. Though John Ashmore may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John Ashmore touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Amanda Louise (Dilburn) and John Ashmore Hammond, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn B. Hammond; and his children, Susan Heald, Robert Hammond and Daniel Hammond. He is also survived by six granddaughters; and six great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church (850 S Blue Angel Pkwy, Pensacola, FL 32506).
