He was predeceased by: his parents, G. H. Black and Bernice Marie Black; his brother Carl Wade Black; and his son Barry Wade Black. He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Schafer; his sons, Damon and Scott (Lona); his brother Barry (Mary); and his grandchildren, Ashley (Lane), Kyle (Amber), Andrea (Chris), Amanda and Steven. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; and six nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Waters & Hibbert Funeral Home (124 W Gregory St, Pensacola, FL 32502). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gulf Breeze Church of Christ.
