He was predeceased by: his parents, Olga Stern and Alexander Stern; and his brother Lawrence "Larry" Stern. He is survived by: his wife Ana Stern; his daughter Allyson Stern Buckner; his son-in-law Drayton Lane Buckner; and his grandchildren, Leighton Alyssa Buckner and Justin Alexander Buckner.
