It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gloria Jean Nimtz of Pensacola, Florida, who passed away on February 18, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Macke and Marie Macke (Bulmahn); her husband Michael Nimtz; her son Steve Nimtz; her daughter-in-law Melody Nimtz; her stepgranddaughter Jennifer Hect; and her siblings, Maxine Remenschneider and Roger Macke.
She is survived by: her daughters, Diane Ressler (Gary) of Pensacola, FL, Cheryl Nimtz of Indianapolis, IN and Jennifer Nimtz (Miriam Danu) of Bellingham, WA; her stepdaughter Betty Jean Pennington (Jeff) of McClure, IL; and her sister-in-law Carrie Macke of Hoagland, IN. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Grimes Funeral Home (600 Countryside Dr, Columbia City, IN 46725). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM and at 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church (101 E North St, Columbia City, IN 46725).
Memorial contributions in memory of Gloria may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne Lutheran Seminary, Worship Anew or Emerald Coast Hospice of Pensacola, FL.
