He was predeceased by: his parents, John Schwartz and Mary Schwartz; his brother George Schwartz; his daughter Mary Carmen McBee; and his grandson John James McBee.
He is survived by: his wife Terri (Navy); his siblings, Kathey McCready of Tabernacle, John R. Schwartz (Ann) of Fitzgerald, Georgia, Karl E. Schwartz (Denise) of Tabernacle and Trish Pitzen of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; his granddaughters, Brooke McHansen (Trevon) of Severn and Jillian Chittum of Pensacola, Florida; and his great grandchild John Santiago Tatum Chittum. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
