He was predeceased by: his parents, SGT Gilberto Diaz-Ramos and Irene Cruz-Ortiz; and his former wife Anita Sue Ritchie Diaz. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Diaz; his stepchildren, Christina (Greg) and Nathan (Candice); his stepgrandchildren, Victoria and Peyton; his siblings, Josue (Teresa), Milton (Florence) and Judith (Maxwell); his nephews, Erik (Holly), Alain, Jacob (Nicole), Jesse, Peter and Thomas; his great-nephews, Zander and Ezra; and his great-niece Lucy.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trahan Family Funeral Home (60 Industrial Blvd, Pensacola, FL 32503). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Barrancas National Cemetery (1 Cemetery Rd, Pensacola, FL 32508).
