She was predeceased by: her parents, Orville McVay and Anna McVay; her siblings, Mack McVay, Peter McVay and Donna Medlin (McVay); her husband Rev. R. Dayton Hobbs; and her granddaughter Rachel Hobbs.

She is survived by: her daughter Doris Peppard; her grandchildren, Robert (Jessica), Kayson, Ethan, Adilynn, Emily (Andrew), Geiger, Aaron, Hannah, Chloe, Lily and Andrew Peppard (Jessica); her son David Hobbs Hobbs (Debby); and her grandchildren, Ben Hobbs, Paul (Ashley), Sarah Hobbs and Timothy Hobbs. She is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and family members.
