He was predeceased by: his parents, Verlon McLeod and George T. McLeod; his wife Joan McLeod; and his siblings, Johnnie McLeod, Clara Pelham, Alene Talbot, Gervice McLeod, Ina Mae Coleman and Doris Wilkins.

He is survived by: his daughter Margie Howard (Eddie); and his granddaughter Amanda McLeod (Shirley).
