We bid farewell to Betty Lou McGowan of Pensacola, Florida, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 10, 2024 at the age of 87. Betty Lou touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jimmie Wright and Claudie Wright; and her son Craig McGowan. She is survived by: her husband Edward "Gene" McGowan; her brother James Wright (Cheryl); her sister-in-law Adrienne Zarahn (Eddie); her nephew Steven McGowan (Anne); her grandchildren, Justin Holden, Matthew McGowan, Jonathan McGowan (Kelly), Joshua McGowan (Alli) and Jordan McGowan; and her nephews, Scott Calderone (Suzanne), Jeff Wright (Belinda), Jason Coleman and Jarett Coleman. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and several great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pensacola Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home (7433 Pine Forest Rd, Pensacola, FL 32526). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
