With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Jean Evans of Pensacola, Florida, born in Panama City, Florida, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 27, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Houston Bell and Vera Hinson of Florida; her husband John Arlan Evans; her son John Arlan Evans, Jr. (Jay); her stepmother Mazie Eubanks Bell; and her stepbrother Jesse Clifton Sawyer.
She is survived by: her cousin Pat Parish; her stepbrother John Curtis Sawyer (Sara) of Pensacola; and her cousins, Janice Dorch Porter (Jim) of Molino, Gene Dorch (Joie) of Tampa, Florida, L. C. Parish (Val) of Chipley, Florida, Bobby Bell (Bonnie), Tobatha McClendon Davis of Chipley, Florida and Abby Lee of Pensacola. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and distant cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Betty can be made to Emerald Coast Hospice.
