He was loved and cherished by many people including: his significant other Rose Nichols-Nelson; his daughters, Andrea Lamar (Darwin) and Nikki Meeks (Kalyn); his siblings, Joliet Nelson Jr., Lois Nelson-Lowe, Shirley Evans (David) and Robert Taylor; his mother-in-law Armelia Nichols; his siblings-in-law, Flora Starling (Dave), Dorothy Nichols, Denise Dewberry (George), Joyce Nichols, David Nichols, Dennis Nichols and Dwayne Nichols; his great grandchildren, Jermaine Franklin Jr., Steven McClain III, Kenisha Johnson, Darrell Johnson, Jaylen Eddie, Jordan Eddie, Kalyn Meeks Jr., Kason Meeks, Zoey Johnson, Xavier Johnson, Shaniyah Mcclain and Charlie Franklin; his cousins, Joyce Lacy, Christopher Gordon and Nate Hister; and his uncles, Calvin Davenport and Henry. He was also cherished by Godchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.
