He was predeceased by: his parents, Foy Edward Hughes and Imogene Herchenhahn Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Elke; his children, Caroline Bershaw (Scott) and Athanasios (Nasio); his grandchildren, Sierra, Nate, Cleopatra, Draco, Gavin, Landon, Hudson and Ashton; his great grandchildren, Aubrey and Ceciliana; his siblings, Janet, Terry, Barbara and Chuck; and his aunt Judy.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Barrancas National Cemetery (1 Cemetery Rd, Pensacola, FL 32508).
