He was predeceased by: his parents, James Blackman and Estelle Blackman. He is survived by: his wife Angela Meyers-Blackman; his sons, Damon Blackman and Brandon Blackman (Nicole); his stepson John Meyers; his granddaughters, Marley Blackman and Layla Blackman; and his brothers, Salem Blackman (Mary Ann) and Gary Blackman (Janet). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
