He was predeceased by: his wife Nina Vizzini. He is survived by: his son Doug; his daughter-in-law Karen; and his grandchildren, Ella and Gavin.
In 2018, Roy was honored by the Broward County Historic Preservation Board for his long-standing residence and contributions to Cooper City, representing the city at its 44th Annual Pioneer Day Celebration.
