He was predeceased by: his parents, Miguel Angel Jimenez and Eduarda Familia; his son Ivan Jimenez; and his siblings, Freddie Mejia and Germania Flores.

He is survived by: his wife Maxima Aleja Jimenez; and his children, David Jimenez, Sandra Jimenez (Sandy) and Rafael Jimenez, Jr.. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
