She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Sass (Haines) and Metro J. Sass. She is survived by: her significant other Howard Leslie Kushner; her children, Laya, Mathew and Tina Kushner; and her great-niece Isabel Day (Ghica).
A graveside service was held on Friday, August 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Hebrew Cemetery of Greater Charlotte. A shiva was held on Sunday, August 25th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Home of Laya Kushner.
