He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois Ruth and Carl Wilbert Gomes; and his sister Sheri Jean. He is survived by: his son Matt; his wife Rebecca Lowe; his son Ryan Gomes; his former wife Ann Marie Gomes (Trozzi); his granddaughter Rose McBride; his brother David Gomes; and also, Kevin Gomes, Becky McBride and Matt Gomes.

The family asks that donations in lieu of flowers be made to the North River Church.
