As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Wendell may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Troy Owenby and Blanche Owenby; and his siblings, Wanda Wallis and L. R. Owenby. He is survived by: his daughter Terry Thorpe (Rusty); his grandson Cory Thorpe (Sarah); and his great grandchild Andruw Thorpe. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Millville Advent Christian Church (2220 E 3rd St, Panama City, FL 32401). A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024.
