He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie H. Bazzel and Pauline Welch Bazzel; and his wife Shirley Ann Welch Bazzel (late Billy Welch). He is survived by: his siblings, Harold E. Bazzel and Dianne Bazzel Tagney; his children, William B. Welch, Jr. (Debra), Barbara Welch Pilcher and Thomas C. (Clay); and his grandchildren, William B. Welch, III (Haley), Heather Welch Soto (Juan), Dustin Pilcher (Sarah), Alicia Pilcher Jones (Colin), Ephraim Bazzel and Elliot Bazzel. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, extended family, including aunts, uncles, and many cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home and Cremation Services (247 N Tyndall Pkwy, Panama City, FL 32404). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Andrew Baptist Church (3010 W 15th St, Panama City, FL 32401). A burial was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at the Greenwood Cemetery.
