He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas P. Haney and Sarah Ingram Haney; his son-in-law Don Avery; and his granddaughter Meredith Avery. He is survived by: his wife Judy Gavin Haney; his children, Fara Avery, Dina Stevenson (Jeff) and Todd Haney (Scotti); his grandchildren, Amelia Cobb (Travis), Brooke Durr (Elliott), Chelsea Keyser, Samantha Dyson (Elliott), Logan Keyser (Jenny), Sallie Haney, Gavin Haney (Jamie) and Corbin Haney (Alison); his great grandchildren, Madelyn, William Cobb, Forrest, Ellie Harper, Rhett Dyson, Evie, Gabriel, Maggie Keyser, Booth and Piper Durr; his brother Dr. Tom Haney (Wendy); his nephew Mark Haney (Sarah); and his niece Angela Orkin (Brian).
Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the First Baptist Church of Panama City (640 Grace Ave, Panama City, FL 32401). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Haney Education Foundation (haneyfoundation.org) or to the Pregnancy Resource Center (anotherheart.org) in memory of Ted Haney.
