She was predeceased by: her husband Wayne Adkins; her parents, Wilkey Rudolph and Nellie Melvina Barfield; her siblings, Mary Miller, Vina Biddinger (John), Dessaray Traylor (Joel) and Donald Barfield (Ruth); her brother-in-law Paul Cooley; her parents-in-law, Edwin and Ersa Adkins; and her siblings-in-law, Tracy Adkins, Randall Adkins (Donna), Shirley Welden (Calvin) and Barbara Smith (Charles).

She is survived by: her children, Tony Adkins (Sue) and Tonia Adkins; her granddaughter Michelle Adkins; her sister Alice Cooley (Terry Adkins); her nieces and nephews, Joel and Tori Millican; and her adoptive son Lonnie Andrews (Dana).
