It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shelby Jean Watson of Panama City, Florida, born in Jonesborough, Tennessee, who passed away on March 30, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband James Edward Watson; her parents, Burnie McGee and Mamie McGee; her children, Pamela Sue Watson and Michael Edward Watson; and her siblings, Blanche Payne (Gay), Pauline Wycoff (Jim), Katheen Cox (Ray), John McGee, Clarence McGee, Emory McGee and Jimmy McGee.
She is survived by: her caregivers, Linda and Walt Willey; her nieces, Linda Mongold (David) and Lisa Snapp (Gary); and her nephew Randy Payne. She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (6930 FL-22, Panama City, FL 32404). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
