He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Schmidt and Bobbetta Schmidt; his sister Kristi Schmidt; and his grandson Dane Turnmeyer. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Schmidt of Panama City, FL; his children, Tammy Turnmeyer (Tony Simler) of Lynn Haven, FL, Damon Schmidt (Alicia) of Shreveport, LA and Kelli Space (Lee) of Panama City, FL; his siblings, Richard Schmidt (Lisa) of Corpus Christi, TX, Sharon Schmidt of Corpus Christi, TX and Pamela Debusk (Jerry) of Aliso Viejo, CA; and his great grandchildren, Kurtis Schmidt (Lauren), Matthew Packard, Carli Simler, Warren Packard, Marislynn Turnmeyer, Korbin Schmidt (Selina), Gavin Space, Kullen Schmidt, Savannah Marler and Elijah Dane Schmidt. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and close family friends.
